Dragon
Knight 1 and Dragon Knight 2 were the first two Dragon
Knight games (obviously). They were for MSX (a type of
computer) in Japan. Unfortunately they were never
released in the U.S. You can get the games for the MSX
emulator at The LuzNET 2 BBS
MSX Archive
Dragon
Knight 1 and 2 are different from the Dragon Knights that
come after it. One is because they are in first person,
and when you are in town, you select where in town to go
by selecting it at the bottom of the screen. Kind of like
in games like Dokyuusei.
Notice-
Problem Solved! I have made a new emulator zip, using a
newer version of WinZIP. This version allows me to make
sub-folders, so you can just unzip, and play. It should
also fix any other problems that some of you have been
having with the emulator. Click here to get it!
Storylines
Dragon Knight- Takeru comes
across Strawberry fields and learns that the Gems of
Adriana have been stolen by the Dragon Knights. Also,
some girls have been captured and are being held in the
Dragon Knights tower. Takeru must defeat the Dragon
Knights, rescue the girls, and get the Gems of Adriana
back. Dragon
Knight 2- Takeru goes to the town of Phoenix. While
resting at an Inn, all the girls in town are captured and
turned into monsters by a Sorceress named Mesaanya, who
is keeping them locked up in a "maze like"
tower. He later gets two companions (Baan and Sofia).
Together, they must save the girls (and turn them back to
normal), and kill Mesaanya. Read my extended
review for Dragon Knight 2 at Anime Densetsu
Notice-
I cant speak Japanese that well, so dont expect to these
to be exact matches of the story. Thay are only what I
could get from playing these games and knowing a small
bit of Japanese. If you have any more information about
the stories of either of these games, please mail me.
Characters In both
games, Takeru (Desmond) is the main character. In Dragon Knight,
Takeru first meets Luna. In Dragon Knight two, he meets Baan (Rolf)
while on the way to Phoenix. He later on meets a girl named Sofia.
They both join the group. I am not that good at reading Japanese
but I have some knowledge of it, when I get more names, I will be
sure to post them. But that's all for now.
Other Formats Other
than for computer systems, both Dragon Knight 1 and 2 were
released for PC-Engine Super CD, a home console system. Here are
some cover pics. Dragon Knight - Dragon Knight 2
